Favourite Walkies

Postby Boodog on Fri Aug 21, 2009 5:28 pm

Hi All,
I'm bored with taking my dogs on the same old walks and was wondering where everyone's favourite walks in the area are. My 2 seem to have the most fun at Hessle country park.

We like to walk along the cliff and through the woods at Paull. :D

Can I just ask ... by Hessle Country Park, do you mean the one next to the humber bridge?
Can your dogs go off lead, or is it only on lead that's allowed?

I find the easiest with my dogs is to take them to Cott playing fields/park, which is a huge area, then throw the ball for them (except for Roly who doesn't 'do' balls!!) while we walk round.

Yes the one next to the humber bridge, and yes they can go off lead. Gets a bit busy in there at peak times but if you can go when it's quiet it's great.

I head to tunstall beach every morning and night! (convinient for me as im only two mins away) its great because even in holiday season its very quiet and when the tide is out you can walk for hours!

The walk on top of Sewerby Cliffs is great (the dedicated dog-walking field is set back away from the edge), enough room for your dog to have a good run!

For a local walk, I like taking the dogs to Alderman Kneeshaw playing fields and walking over the hills.
