Meet the new boy

Postby Rik_H on Tue Oct 07, 2008 11:35 pm

at the moment this is Tally
Image

He has come to us from his prev owners. Due to family issues they can no longer keep him.
He is a spirited young fella and luvs to play and play and play well you get the idea.
He will come and sit and if you start to stoke him you get the full Tally treatment covered from head to toe in hair and trust us he loves to share all he has.
We are not sure whether to change the name or not but if we did it would have to be JD (as in Jack Daniels) as both me and his prev owner love the stuff.

JD (formally known as the artist Tally) is a Samoyed. They are well known for looking as though they are smiling)

He is very loveable and very fluffy!!! He is definitly a foster dog as we have decided this is how we can help the one's needing rehoming the best.
I'm sure it won't be long before someone falls in love with him.
8)
He's coming out to play this weekend at the Coffee morning so if your there you can meet him.
At the moment its more like our two having a sleepover with friends in our house than having an extra dog here as they get on so well.

Sooooo, if he's only a foster, why did you re-name him, & not just leave him as Tally ..... won't it be a bit confusing for him, if his permanent new owners don't like the name JD & then re-name him again?

.... good luck convincing your other half Lisa, cos he doesn't look much like an Akita to me!!!!

You know you are right Pudsmum

We should keep the name for now and see what his new owners would like
to do

He could be off to a new home there were a couple of people looking at him over the weekend. He did take to one young lady who he met and walked all the way round the arena without a lead right next to her

Well in that case we need some tan hair dye (non toxic of course)
and a skilled groomer (call Gill) lots of clipping and a bit of face painting.

Hmm have I missed anything???

Right this weekend

Pimp my DOG

P.S
Samoyeds Were the two lead dogs in the first dog sled team to explore
the South pole
Also Tally is doing fantastic in his training and people are thinking it is one of Gills own dogs. He is sooooooooooo loving

I mean just look at these two

This pooch has lived with children all his life!

OK we cant make him look like an Akita but i'm sure someone out there will love him.

Tally is coming on in leaps and bounds, we can now take bones off him or items out of his mouth when he has picked them up etc.

He's just had a week of bed rest as he chewed his paw (the vet thinks he got something in it) so a week of a buster collar (he did look cute) and he is an angel to take tablets (just sits and waits for them lol) and he's back to walking on all 4 paws again.

I bumped into a guy I know today and he has an old Samoyed. I mentioned this to him and he said they might be looking for a dog who can go for longer walks now their old girl can't go so far.

Hopefully he and his wife will get back in touch with us and we will point them in your direction. I told him all about how lovely Tally is (good with other dogs/kids, only 2 years old, etc) so you never know! Fingers crossed! :)
