Anyone got any bright ideas to raise more funds? I've got a couple here to share with you - what do you think?
How about maybe if we buy (or beg) some decent raffle prizes, say 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and possibly sell tickets to our family and work colleagues. We could display the prizes eyecatchingly, take pics and each have one (a pic) to illustrate the prizes when selling the tickets.(how about a home made Christmas cake as one of the prizes, n then we could collect other inexpensive Christmas goodies to make a hamper), or a wicker basket filled with doggie bits and bobs, or a fresh fruit basket? Maybe we could collect some bottles and make a wine hamper.
Or maybe you lovely bakers out there could make something delicious to sell at coffee time at work for a donation - I sent some leftovers to Mike's place after the last Fun Day and they went down a storm (it was Monday morning and you know what Monday mornings at work are like lol). I am going to send something once a month now to tempt them. Every little helps, as they say.
How about a Christmas Get-together (possibly at Oakwood one evening, will have to check with Gill) - maybe humans only - we could ask for a donation of say £5 for a ticket, and we would provide the "lemonade" and nibbles etc. Just a come and go as you please evening - children and families welcome - a chance for a good natter.
Any other bright ideas (these seem a bit boring I know). I would be willing to help with the organisation and co-ordination.
We can get together via the forum and make some plans. The more the merrier I say. Looking forward to seeing you on this thread very soon.
Regards to all.
