hi everyone
I have recently got a labrador/german shepherd cross puppy who is 10 weeks old. We also have 3 cats who Jake (pup) will not leave alone. He chases them and when he gets close enough will lick and play bite. We would like any suggestions to solve this problem.

I'm surprised the cats haven't scratched him!!
Don't they protest or anything?

Maybe having him on a house-line (a long light-weight type of lead), then pull him away when he's annoying them could work. Alternatively, hope eventually the cats get fed-up & take a swipe at him, which would be the most effective deterrent really.

Sorry, can't think of anything else to suggest. :?

You could try putting both together on the setee with you in the middle and when he goes to the cat dont let him and if the cat does the same dont let them either. I have seen this work before he just has to learn that not chasing cats can get him more rewards
